Let it snow (twice in the same year!)

Can you believe we had 8 inches of snow in 12 hours? And two snow storms in the same year? Definitely some crazy whacked out Memphis weather! It was 70 degrees during the week before, then we had a snow storm Saturday and Saturday night, then it is scheduled to be 75 by Thursday of this week!
The backyard was so pretty! No, the Bradford pear does not have snow in it. Those are actually blooms. Because of the warm weather, the poor thing thought it was spring. We could only wish it was.
Memphis Blizzard 2009. We heard that it was coming down at a rate of 2 inches per hour.

Kerri and her snowballs, and then a snowman, and then a snow angel, and then an ice skating rink, etc, etc. She made the most of her time outside.

Brook enjoyed eating the snow and jumping around in it. She is alot like me in that she decided that it was way to cold to be out there for long.

Braeden was not impressed with the snow as noted in the sour face.

Braeden's first haircut

Braeden had her first haircut on February 23. Braeden was born with a head full of platinum blonde hair and now that she is 9 months old, it had gotten way out of control!

Our hair stylist, Tammy Johnson, did such a great job! Tammy was so patient with Braeden as she wiggled every which way.

Luv the Cuz (s)

My girls are so blessed to have two wonderful cousins, one on each side of the family. They all play so well together and LOVE each other's company.

Gracie and Braeden love to be near each other. Gracie gives Braeden whatever she wants and Braeden grabs Gracie and hugs and kisses her when she is near.
Lizzy is 7 years old and is younger than Kerri and older than Brook. That makes for lots of fun times. They can't wait to get together and play but then after a day or so, they all need a break. They love listening to Jonas Brothers and watching movies together.

This photo was taken at Christmas when all were at Maw Maw's house. They each received an umbrella in their stocking so it was only appropriate to immediatley run outside in the rain and try them out!

Brook's Baptism

We are so excited and thankful that Brook has accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! She was baptized at our church, Faith Baptist, by her Paw Paw on February 1st. (For those of you who did not know, my dad is the pastor of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church just outside of Fayette, AL.) She was so thrilled to have our family come all the way from Alabama in support of this most important decision. Thanks to Maw Maw and Paw, Mindy, Jeremy, and Gracie, Angie and Lizzy, and Mena and Grandma Fears for being there to support Brook. She would also like to thanks Grumps (seen in the background of the above picture) for coming to church when he really shouldn't have been around so many people. THANK YOU to all. What a beautiful sight to see my Dad standing with my sweet baby before the baptism with the cross in the foreground!
You wouldn't know it by the smile on Brook's face, but the water in the baptistry was ice cold! Somehow, the baptistry was not filled up and warmed as planned. They filled it only a couple of hours before she was baptized. Regardless, she entered it with much enthusiasm!

Brook's 7th Birthday

Brook celebrated her 7th birthday with friends and family at Pump It Up. She was so happy that so many people came to her party. She stated that this was the best weekend ever since she was able to have her party and be baptized in the same weekend. Thanks to all of you who made this weekend special!

Brook's Maw Maw even made the cakes!

Brook's friends were having a great time posing for photos.

Why didn't you tell me Christmas was so much fun?!

Helping Braeden open her presents

Christmas is almost here!

We are all so excited about Christmas!  It is extra special this year since it is Braeden's first.  I love to sit and watch her looking at the presents and the lights on the tree.  There is such an innocence in her eyes. I'm thrilled to get the chance to share the most wonderful time of the year with another little Bentley!

Kerri and Brook have spent hours under the tree shaking and feeling their presents, determined to figure out what they are.  They have come awfully close several times.  BoBo has shared with them that art that he learned from his dad. Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time trying to throw everyone off course.  It works some times, others not.

We will be doing a little traveling during the holidays. We will be spending time at my parent's before Christmas, home on Christmas day and then with the Bentley's on the weekend.  One must count themselves blessed to get to have multiple Christmases! Each one does it a little different, but they are all equally wonderful!

Have A Very Merry Christmas!!

Kerri

Kerri
Kerri is now 10 years old and doing all the cool things a "tween" likes to do. She enjoys seeing, e-mailing, calling, and spending the night with her friends. Most of the time, you'll find her head buried in her Nintendo DS. She makes good grades at school and LOVES science. When she grows up, she would like to be a Vet. She likes helping take care of her sisters too.

Brook

Brook
Brook is 7 years old going on 30. She is so full of life and most days there is an immense amount of drama. She loves to play teacher, write, eat, play with polly pockets, barbies, and dinosaurs, play peek a boo with Braeden, and play anything with Kerri. She makes straight A's at school, but still doesn't like to go. She wants to be a Vet when she grows up. Her favorite place in the whole wide world is Disney World.

Braeden

Braeden
Braeden is growing up so fast! She is now 9 months old. She is now scooting on her bottom and rolling everywhere! She can almost crawl and will walk everywhere if someone is holding her hands. At her recent doctor's appointment, she weighed 23 pounds and was 30 inches long. She was off the chart again for height (15 month old), weight (17 month old), and head circumference (22 month old). The doctor said she was the size of a 18 month old!
